Act Pendant Ø60 White from Normann Copenhagen is a unique pendant light that combines sustainability with aesthetics. Made from recycled PE-LD plastic materials from discarded water pipes, this lamp is an example of circular design and innovative resource utilisation. Designer Simon Legald has transformed these neglected materials by cutting them diagonally into oval rings and carefully assembling them into a transparent lampshade.
This process reduces energy consumption and preserves the integrity of the material, minimising environmental impact and highlighting the beauty of recycled materials. When switched on, the lamp casts mesmerising shadows that reflect its resourceful origins. The oval shape of the cut tubes is repeated in the silhouette of the lampshade, creating a harmonious and cohesive aesthetic.
