You may know Kasper Thorup from the programme "Denmark's Next Classic", which ran on DR in spring 2019. Since graduating from the Design Programme at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2017, Kasper has worked in his own furniture company under the name Thorup Copenhagen. His designs are characterised by an unpretentious and instinctive approach to the design process to create results that the user can enjoy for years to come. He draws inspiration from industrial buildings and spaces as well as raw nature. The style is simple, elegant and timeless, while he endeavours to show a bold perspective on Scandinavian design.
