Foscarini Lamps
Foscarini was established in 1981 in Venice. They started by exploring material options, like Murano glass. The company works with both established designers who have created new trends and younger, new exponents of alternative styles and methods. This provides a highly original selection and makes Foscarini one of the most varied in lighting. Foscarini creates true light sculptures that give us the feeling of caress, poetic embrace, light touch, sensual embrace and seductive hidden light. Foscarini translates light philosophy and is characterised by a great respect for the light source.

Likewise, Foscarini is characterised by a high degree of creativity, using materials, colours, finishes and textures that go beyond what has been done before. Foscarini has utilised several well-known and reputable designers, which is certainly the basis for their great success. Rodolfo Dordoni who has also designed for Flos is among the designers.
Jozeph Forakis, Patricia Urquiola and Marc Sadler are also featured. They have all contributed their creativity to fulfil Foscarini's values of innovation. Over the years, they have expanded their use of materials to include satin-finish glass, polyethylene, wood and aluminium, as well as patented materials such as an exclusive textured glass weave and Carbonfibre composite or Kevlar® which is a registered trademark of EI du Pont de Nemours and Company.
Most notable in 2009 were the Caboche, Tropico and Allegro lamps. Design classics from previous years include the ever-popular Lumiere, Caboche, Piccola and Havana lamps. Some are very common and functional, while some are works of art in their own right.
It's also worth noting the beautiful - designed by Vicente Garcia Jimenez. The luminous sphere created by winding polycarbonate ribbons. The lamp creates an exciting lighting effect when the light is projected directly into the gaps in the design while reflecting an indirect light into the surroundings.
